About Rural Trader

Welcome to Rural Trader – your innovative resource for rural news, information and services. Rural Trader is by farmers, for farmers. Our aim is to provide the rural community with a place they can find useful information on a daily basis empowering them to make informed decisions.

We hope you enjoy our weather, markets, news and community section. We have several other sections of the site under construction which will be added in the next couple of months.

At Rural Trader we don't want to tell you what you need; we want you to tell us! If there are any features or information you feel might be useful to you, or other members, get in touch and we'll try our best to help.

We are very excited about our community section and, in particular, our Community Fund. With the help of the Rural Trader membership, we will allocate funds to non-profit rural groups and organisations throughout New Zealand.

There are so many under-funded groups making a big difference in the rural community, we feel it is important to support these by providing access to funding.  We plan to grow the fund as we grow the website and see it as a long term project that could make a difference to rural communities all over New Zealand in the years to come.

Why not head to our forums and post your thoughts? It's a great place to ask questions in a friendly environment. You can even get free advice from our panel of experts.

We are very excited about some of the developments we are working on. Keep and eye on this page for all the latest developments at Rural Trader.
