I am lucky enough to be the owner of a horse that was an orphan foal from birth. This boy (who is now 15 years old) has been one of the most loyal and well mannered horses I have ever owned and I swear he will remain with me until the day he dies.
In competition a nervy or spooky horse can really affect final results, and at times, it’s a difficult problem to get around.
Well we've rolled around to that time of year again, the time of year when some equine competitors and owners take a deep breath at the fact that the tensions and busyness of the competition season have drawn to an end, and turn their four-legged friends out to pasture for the winter.
